- 6-panel
- Structured front with a centre seam — the standard for embroidery and print.
- 5-panel
- No centre seam at the front, so a large logo sits on one clean panel.
- Unstructured
- Softer crown that follows the head; the low profile a dad cap has.
Fabrics
- Cotton twill
- The default: smooth, holds colour, takes embroidery well.
- Canvas
- Heavier hand and a firmer crown.
- Brushed cotton
- Soft surface with a washed look.
Logo & decoration
- Flat embroidery
- Dense stitching that stays sharp at small sizes.
- 3D puff embroidery
- Foam under the stitch lifts the logo off the panel.
- Woven label or patch
- Sewn on for side marks, small details and brand tabs.

Embroidery keeps detail at small sizes better than print does. If your artwork is too fine for the size you want, we will say so before sampling.
