About these terms
cphats.com is operated by CP Hats, Zhejiang, China. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not, please do not use it. Nothing here affects rights you have under a law that cannot be excluded.
What this site is, and what it is not
This site is a catalogue and a way to ask for a price. It is not a shop: nothing on it is an offer to sell, no page is a binding quotation, and no price appears on it. A price, a minimum quantity and a delivery date exist only in a written quotation we send you, and that quotation is tied to the specification it names.
Prices, minimums and lead times
The figures we publish describe how we normally work: a minimum of 100 pieces per style and colourway, seven days for a sample, about fifteen days for bulk production after the sample is approved, and a capacity of 20,000 caps a day across five lines. They are what we plan to, not a promise for a particular order — an order with several colourways, a complicated decoration or an unusual fabric will be quoted on its own numbers, and the quotation is what counts.
Quotes and orders
A quotation states how long it stays valid. An order exists when we confirm it in writing and the deposit named in that quotation has been received; until both have happened, we have not committed production capacity to you. We may decline an order — for example where the artwork is not ours to use, where the specification cannot be met, or where the deadline cannot honestly be offered.
Your artwork and your brand
You keep ownership of your logo, your artwork and your brand. By sending them you give us a limited licence to use them for one purpose: quoting, sampling and producing your order. You confirm you have the right to use what you send, and that making the goods will not infringe someone else’s rights — you are responsible for that, since we cannot check every trademark in every market.
We do not put your logo, your brand or photos of your order on this site, in a portfolio or on social media without your written permission. Your files are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our content
The text, photographs, drawings and layout of this site belong to CP Hats or are used with permission. You are welcome to read it, print it and share a link. Please do not copy our photographs or text onto another site, or use our name and marks in a way that suggests a partnership we have not agreed.
What a made-to-order hat can vary in
A custom hat is a manufactured object, not a printed page. Colour can shift slightly between dye lots and will always look different on a screen than in daylight; measurements carry the small tolerances of cut-and-sew production; a trim or thread shade may be replaced by an equivalent when a supplier runs out — and where that happens we tell you before it ships, not after. The physical sample you approve is the reference for the bulk order.
Dates and delivery
A lead time in a quotation assumes the artwork is approved and the deposit received before production is scheduled, and it starts from that point rather than from the day you first wrote to us. Shipping is quoted separately unless a quotation says otherwise: the delivery term printed in it decides who arranges carriage, who pays for it and when risk in the goods passes to you.
If the goods do not match the sample
Look at what arrives and tell us quickly — with photographs of the actual goods and the carton — if anything differs from the approved sample or the confirmed specification. We need to see the problem before we can agree what to do about it, and the remedy is then settled under the written terms of that order. We would rather hear about a problem on delivery than read about it a season later.
Paying
How and when you pay is stated in the quotation and the invoice for your order, and nowhere else. This website does not take payment and does not store card details.
Limits of liability
The information on this site is provided as it stands, and we do not warrant that every page is complete or current at the moment you read it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost sales, a promotion that could not run — arising from use of this site or from goods that were produced to a specification and artwork you approved. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Which law applies
These terms and any order placed under them are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes that cannot be settled between us are for the courts of Zhejiang, China — which is where the factory is, and where the evidence of what was agreed can actually be examined.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the business does; the date at the top of this page moves when they do. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in force when the order was confirmed, not a later revision.
